ORIGINALITY

Sometimes I surprise myself with what I say, think or contemplate.
Within my being is a very strange world that I wish to share with
others. Why? Because if I am truly honest about what I think and feel,
it may unite me with the true identity of others. Perhaps we are all a
little strange! However I will never know what people are thinking or
feeling unless I take a risk and share my honest feelings. My
involvement with my fellow man revolves around my honesty.

In the knowledge of Your love let me share my feelings.

ORIGINALITY

For too many years, I tried to be the same as other people. I matched their styles, repeated their words, and did what they wanted.

I lived to please a crowd of people I did not really know—and they certainly did not know me! I recited other people’s prayers, quoted other people’s opinions, and memorized others’ ideas—and I felt empty.

Today I value the lives of others, and I am beginning to explore my place in the universe. I accept the “specialness” that is me, that uniqueness that makes me one of God’s miracles. Now others are listening to what I say and benefiting from my life.

God, in my difference lam discovering my service.
