God is on my side. I believe this truth, and it helps me cope with my fears. Now I understand I was the only real enemy in my life. With my new perspective on God, I have the power of choice. I do not have to stay in a sick process. I do not need sick people in my life. I do not have to place myself in destructive relationships or fearful situations. God is alive in my life, and I have the spiritual power of choice.
I am no longer crippled by fear. The God of my own understanding works for me. I am blessed with friends and allies in my recovering community who support my growth. There is nothing in my life to be feared and much to be celebrated.
God, give me the courage to confront fear and make changes in my life.
