“The price of freedom of religion or of speech or of the press is that we must put up with, and even pay for, a good deal of rubbish.”
~ Justice Robert Jackson
I need to be tolerant in sobriety. I need to allow others JL to live according to their own standards and say what they feel.
Before, I was intolerant of people who were different. Much of what I criticized yesterday, I accept today; some things I still reject. To love someone does not require sameness; I can accept people without agreeing with what they say or how they behave.
Not everything I say or do is pure, and that has become my key to accepting others. My history teaches me that I benefit from the variety of opinions represented in humankind.
May I appreciate You through the experiences of others.
