Walking about
In this pine wood,
I find an accommodating rock
On which to nap.
In the mountains,
There aren’t any calendars;
And though I know winter’s
Cold has ended,
I haven’t a clue to the year
– T’ai-shang Yin-chi (mid T’ang)
