A picture may be worth more than a thousand words. Yet no one can deny the impact of the simple truth.
~ Jan Pishok ~
The truth doesn’t seem so simple much of the time. Sometimes that’s because we fear that if others really knew the truth about us, they wouldn’t like us. Our ego can’t fathom that others aren’t as concerned with us as we are. Getting a healthier perspective on this can relieve us of the fear of the simple truth.
What is truth anyway? What one person defines as truth may not be consistent with another’s views. Two people’s perceptions of a single situation might differ dramatically but appear truthful to each one individually. There is really no such thing as the simple truth.
Knowing what is true is important, no doubt. But what may be more important is knowing that what may seem true one moment may appear otherwise the next. And that’s acceptable.
I will search for the truth today. I may have to give up yesterday’s truth to find it. Let me be open to it
